This is Coco Ferocha an amazing brit queen who is honestly FLAWLESS.
Coco and her partner Isis Mirage host a Rupauls Drag Race video review every week, so I loooove to hear them speak about Ru and his girls. I don't often get to speak to people that love and follow drag as much as I do so its fucking amazing to hear these two break it down. ooowwwww

This love I have for drag is intense and I truly appreciate all of the queens that represent and bring that fire and fierce quality to life. I love the transformation, the glamour, the pop culture references, the attitude, the celebration of these sickn'en femme/feminine/andro personas, looks, styles, characters, performances whatever.

Now I need to get on my own road to drag darlin' <3

Uhmazing People Sketches- Majestic Le Gay

I have started sketching all of the amazing and inspiring people that are around on tumblr, starting with the ones that I find personally inspiring. Its so much fun to see how accurately I can capture their individual beauty and flawless style.

This is Majestic Le Gay, someone that I'm regularly inspired by through their words, attitude towards life, attitude towards style/personal representation, their love they share and their fearlessness in everything they do, embody and engage with. Personal Hero <3

Faster Rabbit- Number Two/ Safe Sex Version

Here is the safe sex version of my Goose bump themed Pussy Hand- Faster Rabbit- Number Two. It was a little unintentional to create the Pussy Hands in a sort of incremental way but it didn't really take me long to notice and fall into the pattern of designing like that...which didn't last long admittedly.

I like how the glove on this version gives the image a more 'criminal', or 'sinister' vibe to it...it reminds me of a dexter moment maybe...but always safe, fun and no one dies.

I am still working on the other version of the Number Two's. The other is composed around the idea of a shooting hand (gun). I think I'm going with something like being 'trigger happy', more metal and a bracing wind that always appears at a show down.

RuPaul is my Virgin Mary 2.0

I originally did a version of this design a few years ago for something called the Valley Fiesta. Now looking back I can see how inherently racist and culturally appropriative the entire festival was/is since it was based around the theme of Día de Muertos (I live in Australia) and really its just a chance for a lot of people to come out and drink. 

For me I have multiple views on what that festival means to me now and how I think about the work that I created for that festival. Being from an indigenous culture myself, whilst also having an education in contemporary art and then thinking about what I was trying to achieve with my work, I've come to a problematic place with this design. 

Originally I had come up with the concept of creating a shrine to the fallen queers of the Valley and have RuPaul reside over the alter as my own virgin mary. I had taken the common themes of what I suppose white people (white privileged me?) understood as being associated with the occasion, things like the talking to the dead, candles, the Virgin Mary, skulls/candy skulls, carnations etc.  

Thinking back I don't think I wanted to have the work be a 'typical' vomit of what people did, so I kept it simple, only using my own designs of skulls with carnations, smaller alters. The figures were re-appropriated images of Drag Queens and of course the virgin mary. I re-designed the queens to be pictures of the 'fallen' at the alter and have since then re-designed them into the Queer Familia Series.

This RuPaul Virgin Mary is a simplified version and I have to say, I'm liking this one. (can't believe that I didn't do her hand!) I'm thinking of doing some text with it? ??

I’m not really sure about this one- obviously its themed…I think I was drawing this around about the time of halloween, so maybe that would be a reason

Tru North- Number 1 SAFE SEX VERSION

As always with the Pussy Hand Series I do a safe version of the different hands. So I slipped on a beautiful black glove on Tru North- Number 1- Safe Sex Version and I was ready for business.

Tru North- Number 1 Pussy Hand Series

I've finally had some time to finish off a few more hands for the Pussy Hand Series ~ I want to make simple, striking designs around the different positions our hands take when fucking, loving and consenting.

For me this particular position was one of the first that I tried when I started fucking and you know, is still a relevant home favourite. And because of its virginal memories I partnered the hand with the text of 'Tru North' and tried to incorporate some compositional elements that tie in with that concept.

The tattoos strangely remind mind me of my father, he had tattoos on his hands and lower arms. The particular connotations stem from a what I perceive as gang/prison tattoos. He ran in a mongrel mob for a time and I found out the other day what position he held. Scary stuff. But it also reminds me of my mother, who unlike my father, won her 'patch' by being the last one standing in a night of bonfire partying. She definitely did not run in a mob, her gang was more of what she calls her soul group and actually sounded like a group of people I would of loved to hang out with. My mother is pretty cool actually.

I wanted the text to have a 'tattoo' vibe to it which tied together with the banners, bandana around the wrist and of course the tattoos. I'm actually quite fond of this one for some reason, I think the composition really turns me on.
